We are being rushed from one holyday to the next by the retail stores. Christmas has barely ended and the shelves of the stores were already being filled with Valentine items. I doubt the owners of these stores are interested in promoting love. The speed of economy and technology unfortunately permeates many aspects of life.

Let’s take relationships for example. People rush in and just as fast the run away. At such speed it is impossible for love to develop, grow and bear beautiful fruit. No doubt people are looking to harvest the fruit of love every time they enter marriage. When they realize that what they thought was love has no fruit, starved they start looking in other places.

If anyone is looking for a better way of life, an excellent way, then they must follow the way of real love described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
