What does true greatness look like?
For Rome, it looked like generals in golden chariots, soldiers marching in triumph, and prisoners dragged in chains. Greatness was power on display.
But in an upper room in Jerusalem, greatness looked very different. The King of kings stooped low, wrapped a towel around His waist, and washed His disciples’ dirty feet—including Judas, who would betray Him, and Peter, who would deny Him.
That moment turned the world upside down. Jesus showed that humility is heaven’s power, not weakness.
“I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” – John 13:15 (NLT)
